Dermaplaning in Sarasota, FL
Instantly smoother, brighter skin with no downtime. Professional dermaplaning by Alyssa Bennett, our licensed esthetician.
DERMAPLANING
What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliating treatment. A trained esthetician uses a sterile surgical blade to carefully remove the top layer of dead skin cells along with fine facial hair, often called peach fuzz.
The result is skin that looks brighter, feels smooth, and lets makeup and skincare go on more evenly.
How Dermaplaning Works
Alyssa cleanses and preps your skin, then holds the skin taut and uses light, controlled strokes with the blade to lift away dead skin and fine hair. It is painless and most patients find it relaxing. The treatment is finished with hydrating products and sunscreen, and you can go right back to your day.
What Can Dermaplaning Improve?
Dermaplaning is a good fit for:
Dull, uneven-looking skin
Rough or dry texture
Fine facial hair (peach fuzz)
Makeup that looks cakey or patchy
Skincare that does not seem to absorb
A fresh glow before an event

What to Expect
Dermaplaning has little to no downtime. Your skin may look slightly pink for a short time afterward. Use gentle skincare and wear sunscreen, since freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to the sun. Dead skin builds back up over a few weeks, so many patients repeat dermaplaning about once a month. Contrary to a common myth, hair does not grow back thicker or darker.
