COLLAGEN-STIMULATING FILLER
What Is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is an injectable filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a smooth gel. It is different from hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane® and Juvéderm®. Radiesse® gives immediate lift and volume, and over time it helps stimulate your body's own collagen.
It is FDA-approved for moderate to severe wrinkles and folds such as smile lines, for restoring volume in the back of the hands, and, as Radiesse® (+), for improving jawline contour.
How Radiesse® Works
When Alison places Radiesse®, the gel provides support right away. As the gel is gradually absorbed, the CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold that encourages your skin to build new collagen and elastin. That is why results can look natural and last about a year or longer for many patients, depending on the area and your skin. Radiesse® (+) contains lidocaine for comfort.
What Can Radiesse® Improve?
Radiesse® is used for:
Jawline definition and contour
Deep smile lines (nasolabial folds)
Marionette lines
Volume loss in the back of the hands
Visible veins and tendons in aging hands
Structure in the lower face as part of facial balancing
Where Radiesse® Fits Into Your Plan
Radiesse® is a structural filler. Alison chooses it when an area needs support, not just softness.
Jawline Contour
Radiesse® (+) is FDA-approved to improve jawline definition, creating a crisper line from chin to ear without looking overfilled.
Best For: Jawline • Lower Face
Deep Folds
Lifts and supports deep smile lines and marionette lines with a firm, natural-looking result.
Best For: Smile Lines • Marionette Lines
Hand Rejuvenation
Restores lost volume in the back of the hands so veins and tendons look less prominent and hands look younger.

Radiesse® vs. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane®, RHA®, and Juvéderm® are soft, flexible, and can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed. Radiesse® is firmer, adds structure, and stimulates collagen, but it cannot be dissolved the same way. That is why Alison uses it only in areas where it belongs, like the jawline, deep folds, and hands, and never in the lips or under the eyes. Compare all of our dermal fillers.
Quick Guide: Is Radiesse® Right for You?
You want a more defined jawline with real structure
Your hands look older than your face because of volume loss
You have deep folds that need lift, not just softening
You want collagen support along with instant results
Lips or under the eyes? Radiesse® is not used there. Ask about lip filler or under-eye PRP instead
