What Is SKINVIVE™?
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve skin quality, not to add volume or change the shape of your face. It is FDA-approved to improve cheek skin smoothness in adults over 21, and as of 2026 it is also FDA-approved to reduce horizontal neck lines.
If your skin looks dull, dehydrated, or crepey even with good skincare, SKINVIVE™ works from within the skin for a smoother, healthier-looking glow that still looks like you.
How SKINVIVE™ Works
SKINVIVE™ uses tiny microdroplets of hyaluronic acid, a substance your skin makes naturally to hold water. Alison places these microdroplets just beneath the surface of the skin, where they improve smoothness and hydration from within. SKINVIVE™ contains lidocaine for comfort. Results can last about six months with optimal treatment, and some patients have an optional touch-up about a month after their first session.

SKINVIVE™ vs. Dermal Filler
Both use hyaluronic acid, but they do different jobs. Dermal fillers like Restylane®, RHA®, and Juvéderm® restore volume and structure in areas like the lips, cheeks, and chin. SKINVIVE™ does not add volume or change your features. It improves the smoothness and hydration of the skin itself. Many patients benefit from one or both, and Alison will recommend what fits your goals.
